What a great day for our league playoffs and Championships! Congratulations to the Bengals and Panthers for staying undefeated staying tough in the championship!

The clock ran out on our Flag Football games this evening and with that, our 2024-2025 seasons are in the books.

⚽️ 🏈 I’m eternally grateful for each and every one of our coaches, families and staff that made this indoor and outdoor season successful. A deep and heartfelt “thank you” goes to the YMCA and SUNY for working with us and sharing the vision and values of community sport. Please support those organizations when you can.

Most importantly, I’m grateful for our players. It’s about you. It always has been and always will be. I realized this year that one of my favorite things to do while I’m plinking away at the keyboard (handling some schedule request or other issue), is to simply listen to you play—not to watch, but to listen. The whistles controlling the game and the coaches directing the play, the supportive parents and cheers for your efforts, the teamwork and communication between you all. A game has a cadence. A good game sounds like a musical instrument. A great game sounds like a symphony. We’ve had many, many great games this year. Thank you for that.

It's going to be a hot one tomorrow!

We'll take a few steps to keep our Flag Football players and families safe and happy:
1. Parents, if you'd feel better hanging out on the field or in one of the sideline dugouts, you are welcome to do so. Though the shade trees are kinda nice too. Your choice :)
2. We are going to start both of our Middle School Boys semi-finals at 6:15pm tomorrow (Sunday) evening.
3. The Girls Final will be at 7:15pm - To create the most excitement for our girls, we are going to have one Championship game for all the girls by combining the Chargers and the Colts into one super team to take on the Panthers :) This is going to be great!
4. We will run four 10 -minute quarters per game and our staff will ensure proper rotations so that all players get breaks
5. We'll keep our eyes on everyone and ensure proper hydration
6. Please make sure your player is wearing sunscreen and has plenty of water.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐬: 𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭!

How to Participate (ages 10 to 15):
•There are wooden bike signs hung up in each of the Town parks, visit the park and find the sign, take a photo of the participant with the sign to prove that you visited (make sure we can see the whole sign, one photo per park = one entry per park, there are 12 parks, 12 max entries per participant)
•Text the photo to (518)-948-4756, include the participant’s name, age, parent or guardian contact information, and which bike they would like to be entered for. (we have two 24" bikes, one male style Trek and one female style Liv)
•One winner for each bike will be randomly selected from the entries on July 28th , if you are selected the Town will reach out to the contact info provided.
•Winners must be able to pick up the bikes from Town Hall within one week of the announcement or a new winner will be selected.
•A helmet is included with each bike.
