For the second time this week, we find it necessary to share our guidance for talking with children about violence. NASP firmly believes that no student, whether attending a K-12 school or a university should face violence at their place of learning. Today our hearts are with those impacted by the tragic shooting at Florida State University. https://buff.ly/QNTV7po

Condoms used consistently and correctly provide the best protection against STIs for sexually active people. They also protect against unintended pregnancy.

World Semicolon Day isn’t just a day of remembrance — it’s a call to action.

Every April 16, we honor those we’ve lost. We stand with those who fight. And we demand better: better access to care, better conversations about mental health, and a world that no longer asks people to suffer in silence.

The semicolon is more than a symbol — it’s resistance. It’s the refusal to give up. It’s a statement that we matter, our pain matters, and our lives are worth fighting for.

So on World Semicolon Day, we don’t just mourn — we mobilize. We raise our voices for those who can’t. We carry forward the message that change is not optional — it’s urgent.

This April 16, stand with us. Speak out. Show up. And let the world know: we are still here — and we are not done fighting.

Feeling more like the Grinch and less link Cindy-Lou? Your family will feel you are more present (get it?) if you take a few minutes to de-stress and come back to the moment, rather than continuing to be stressed and stay in the situation. Visit https://cchdtalkinghealth.blogspot.com/ for more tips from Clinton County Mental Health and Addiction Services for the holiday season.
