As a larger-bodied person, Meredith (she/her) explored many forms of yoga over more than 20 years, yet often felt unwelcome or unseen within traditional yoga spaces. Following an injury that significantly limited her movement, she attended a Kundalini Yoga class with a friend—an experience that profoundly shifted her relationship with yoga and with her body.
Through Kundalini Yoga, Meredith rediscovered movement and developed a deeper inner awareness. For the first time, she felt genuinely welcomed into the practice and empowered to adapt movements to meet her body’s unique needs. The practice supported not only increased mobility and flexibility, but also a quieter, more settled mind.
After just a few Kundalini Yoga classes, Meredith knew she wanted to one day become a teacher, recognizing how deeply transformative and accessible the practice could be for others who had felt excluded from traditional movement spaces. In 2020, she completed her 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training with Ravi Singh and bravely began her teaching journey online during the height of the global pandemic.
Today, Meredith is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive spaces where every body is honored, autonomy is encouraged, and students are invited to experience yoga in a way that feels authentic, adaptable, and empowering.
We’re grateful to have Meredith sharing her wisdom and soulful presence with our Stoneworks community. 🤍
