Today at Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home, our residents enjoyed a delicious Southern meal filled with love and comfort! We served up hot, flavorful seafood gumbo, sweet buttery sweet potatoes, and to top it all off — fresh strawberry shortcake in celebration of National Strawberry Day 🍓

There’s nothing better than seeing smiling faces gathered around the table, sharing stories, laughter, and sweet moments together. Meals like these aren’t just about food — they’re about fellowship, memories, and making every day feel special 🍓

Avoyelles Manor Commitment to Caring

Avoyelles Manor is family owned, loving, and compassionate facility that has been in the quiet town of Dupont, La for over 51 years. The facility provides around-the-clock professional care for the close supervision, safety and comfort of our residents. Our facility features a Special Care Unit which specializes in the unique challenges facing residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Enjoy comfort and peace of mind in knowing a compassionate and supportive staff of medical professionals is there when help is needed.

We also take pride in preparing nutritious homestyle meals for our residents based on their individual needs and dietary recommendations. Our registered dietitians and dietary manager provide dietary consults as well as the planning of our custom menus. Along with our homestyle meals we provide snacks, supplements, and a meal of the month selection chosen by our residents.

Our quality physician care provides the necessary services to assure our residents are provided the highest level of care. We provide transportation to physician of choice and have a staff physician and nurse practitioner that provide regular rounds. We have on-site podiatrist, dentist, psychiatrist, and other services that visit monthly and quarterly.

Our specialized therapy programs provide our residents the help needed to overcome any disability and promote the highest degree of independence possible: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Mobile X-Rays, Hospice, Mobile EKG’s, Laboratory Services, Wound Care Consultants, Ortho & Diabetic Shoes, and Pharmacy Consultant.
