Avocet Playa Vista marked the opening of Yom Kippur with a Kol Nidre observance led by Rabbi Janet Madden! Kol Nidre begins the day of reflection with a prayer about releasing vows and returning to what matters.

Guided by that theme, everyone wrote down burdens we hoped to let go of and placed the paper into a bowl of water, watching the words dissolve: a clear symbol and a meaningful start to the new year! 🕯️🕊️

For our SRG Senior Living company-wide , AVP residents sampled sugar-free flavored waters and fruit-juice infusions, then, picked favorites from a bright lineup: Tamarind, Mango, Cucumber-Mint, Strawberry, Goji-Berry Tea, and Hibiscus.
