Feel your feelings without judgement or shame for yourself. There are valid reasons you’re feeling what you are.
Honor your body’s way of helping you learn, grow, and heal. They should settle as the wisdom comes forward and anchors in.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by them or they are consuming you, please seek help from someone who can hold space for you to process them in a loving way.
Here are some ways to help on your own:
✨Take a good break from social media.
✨Go out into nature (take your shoes off and ground if possible).
✨Play and snuggle with your pets.
✨Take deep slow belly breaths in the nose and slowly exhale through the mouth.
✨Squeeze your fingers, hands, and arms (start with your fingers and work up).
✨Tell yourself something like, “even though I’m feeling ________ right now, I’m open to start feeling _________ when I’m ready. My feelings are valid and are teaching me more about myself, but these feelings are not who I am. I am much more than my feelings. I honor and offer love to myself right now in this moment.”
✨Tap or rub the center of your chest while breathing and saying affirmations that feel true to you.
✨Meditate
✨Hum
✨Create art - draw, sing, dance, laugh, sew, crochet, paint, whatever feels creative to you.
✨Do whatever brings you joy and takes your mind somewhere else.
PLEASE do not tell others how to feel. Even well meaning, it is not helpful and can actually be harmful.
