Let’s talk about stress and health!

Stress is being deemed the silent killer and for good reason. We are more stressed out than ever before.

When our bodies and our minds are unable to appropriately adapt to the stresses placed upon it, this slowly chips away at our health.

Unadapted stress can look like:
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Headaches
• Heart Disease
• High Blood Pressure
• Diabetes

Fortunately we do have a lot of tools and resources to handle stress. One of my favorites being the chiropractic adjustment.

When we adjust the upper cervical spine we directly influence vagal tone. Stimulating a relaxation response, over time re-wiring your body to be in a more relaxed state consistently.

Other ways to change the stress response:
• High Quality Sleep
• Cold Therapy
• Regular Sun Exposure
• Breathwork
• Meditation

Try them all, see what works best for you.

Viktor Frankl was a holocaust survivor and arguably had every reason to be bitter and mad for the rest of his life.

But what good would that have done?

When you find that you can’t control a bad situation you can either choose to look on the bright side or you can be bitter.

Viktor Frankl chose to find meaning in his suffering.

He chose to grow from it.

He chose to transcend it.

Choose joy, choose growth, choose to learn from the hard times and become better because of them.

The choice is yours!

Think about it, did your ancestors evolve living inside all day under fake light? Watching Netflix till the wee hours of the morning? (So difficult to not watch more than one episode though, am I right?).

Or did they live connected to the earth and its natural day and night cycle?

Why did I decide to become a Chiropractor?

When I was a teenager I knew I wanted to help people, but in what capacity?

In my growing up years we always went to Chiropractors.

My parents really sought to learn how to prevent and treat illnesses through natural means.

And as I continued through high school and college this made a lot of sense to me.

Why wait until someone ends up in the hospital? Why not learn how to stop the problem from even occurring? Why not learn how to be healthy from the get go and prevent all lifestyle associated diseases like heart disease, many cancers, type II diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Strokes and more.

Learning how to strengthen the human frame and be invincible was something I wanted to be a part of.

I didn’t want to learn and dedicate my life to providing temporary fixes.

I wanted to learn how to THRIVE.

So this is my goal and my passion.

To teach others about the power they hold inside themselves to be self healing and self regulating organisms.

This power is inside each one of us.

You just have to believe and know how to tap into it 👊

I have never woken up with a “crick” in my neck.

I have never woken up with an excessively stiff neck.

I’ve never routinely woken up with pain, period.

And I’m not special by any means.

I started working out when I was 23, and getting adjusted regularly at 26. 5 years later at 31 and I’m feeling good.

And I FULLY contribute this feeling good in my body due to regular Chiropractic Care 🙌

A regular movement practice is not always enough.

The body is like a machine. It’s intricate and has many moving parts. These parts like any machine need to be well oiled and maintained for optimal function.

Chiropractic care does that AND optimizes brain to body communication. Directly affecting the nervous system to bring you into a state of ease and out of stress.

How you think, what you think about and how you act is always your choice.

How you think, what you think about and the actions you choose determine the life you experience.

You can choose to be happy and make the best of a bad situation, or, you can choose to be mad and upset.

Unfortunately the bad situation doesn’t care about your feelings.

It doesn’t matter that you’re upset. That doesn’t make a bad situation better.

BUT, if you can choose to accept the situation for what it is, and make the best of it…

That’s going to be a much more productive approach to turn things around.

Change your mindset. Change your life.

No one ever lives 100% within their values they have set for themselves.

And that’s okay!

We are human and this is the process of learning.

However, you can become more consistent in living your values.

Your mistakes can become smaller and less frequent.

And when you do something outside of your values?

Learn from it and do better next time 👊
