This Fall Prevention Month, let’s talk about a game-changer for staying steady: exercise!

As we age, changes in vision, hearing, muscle strength, and reflexes can all increase the risk of falling—but balance can be improved.

Targeted exercise helps retrain and strengthen the body’s natural balance systems. Here’s how:
✅ Builds muscular strength – for greater stability and support
✅ Enhances coordination – improving how your brain and body work together
✅ Improves body awareness – so you move more confidently through your surroundings
✅ Increases reaction time – helping you recover quickly if you trip or stumble

Whether you're aiming to stay independent or help a loved one stay safe, exercise is a powerful place to start.

Pelvic floor dysfunction affects 1 in 5 women—but often goes undiagnosed and untreated.

The pelvic floor muscles support your organs and play a vital role in bladder and bowel control, core stability, and sexual function. When these muscles aren’t working properly, it can lead to pain, leakage, or discomfort.

Our specially trained physical therapists are here to help. We’ll work with you to strengthen and retrain these muscles and teach you how the rest of your body can support recovery—so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.

Concussions don’t just happen to athletes—they can affect anyone and often go undiagnosed.

Here are a few facts that may surprise you:
✔️ Everyday activities like slipping, bumping your head, or sudden jolts can cause a concussion
✔️ Symptoms may take hours—or even days—to appear
✔️ Non-contact sports like soccer and cheerleading have high concussion rates
✔️ Kids and teens often take longer to recover than adults
✔️ Early treatment (including physical therapy) leads to better recovery

If someone you know is experiencing symptoms like headaches, confusion, nausea, mood changes, or sensitivity to light or sound, don't wait. Seek evaluation and support early. Physical therapy can play a key role in concussion recovery. https://ow.ly/wHWV50WENZb

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨. Meet Casey, whose story continues to inspire us. 💛

Casey was in a serious car accident that led to multiple reconstructive surgeries. He spent three months bed bound and in a wheelchair before beginning outpatient therapy at our sister clinic, Elite. Within weeks, he was walking with assistance. Within months, he was walking independently.

Over the course of a year in therapy, Casey made an incredible recovery. Today, he’s back at work, back in the gym, and back doing what he loves—spending time outdoors, hunting, and being active with his family.

Casey, we’re so proud of how far you’ve come.
