Premier Family Medical is comprised of family medicine, pain and spine management and dermatology. We are located in ten convenient offices.

Premier Family Medical is a physician group that has been serving Northern Utah County for FOUR generations! We are a group of Family Medicine, Orthopedics and dermatology providers. All of our physicians have graduated from medical school and have completed a minimum of three years specializing in the art of Primary Care Medicine. All are Board Certified in Family Medicine, which indicates that they completed an approved residency program in that specialty and have passed all of their board exams. They also remain board certified by taking their specialty exams every 7 years to show that they have maintained their skills and knowledge in the ever changing field of medicine. Our ancillary care providers are Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants. They also have all completed bachelor degrees of at least 4 years and then specialized in working under the supervision of Family Medicine Physicians to provide you with skilled Primary Care. Our providers offer a wide variety of medical care that extends from birth, delivery of children, to geriatrics (care for the aged). Many of our doctors have received extra training and are board certified in other fields i.e. emergency medicine, geriatrics, OB, flight surgery, orthopedics and dermatology to mention a few. We also have female physicians and nurse practitioners to meet the needs of our female population that prefer a female provider. Premier also has an extensive referral program to get you to the necessary subspecialist when you need care beyond what we are capable of doing. We have on site lab testing, x-rays, heart monitoring, asthma treatment equipment, IV fluid capabilities, allergy, ultrasound and casting equipment. As a service to you, our office billing department is willing to help you with your insurance billing and deal with employers when there are job related injuries. They can advise you concerning any insurance questions and deductibles.

Katie Tuft, FNP-C - Pleasant Grove Office

Katie is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in Nursing Facility Ownership and Management as well as extensive experience in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. She started her nursing education at Salt Lake Community College and then went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Western Governors University as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She was raised in Lehi, Utah and has continued to live and raise her family in the same community. She has a passion for training and riding horses, especially with her daughters and grandkids. If she is not at work or riding a horse, you will find her hopefully on a cruise or a beach, preferably someplace warm, or maybe an antique shop, happiest in her garden, but definitely not sitting still.

Steve Berendson, MSN, FNP-C - Lehi office

Steve grew up in Lehi as the third of six children. He graduated from Lehi High School, where he excelled in football and wrestling. In 2001, he began his career with the Lehi Fire Department and proudly retired in 2025 as an Engineer.
In addition to his fire service, Steve became a nurse in 2009 and has worked part-time in several clinical areas, including the emergency department, pediatric home health, and the cardiac cath lab. In 2023, he earned a Master of Science degree from Post University, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He has a strong passion for acute and emergency medicine and is dedicated to providing skilled, compassionate care.
Outside of his professional life, Steve enjoys spending time with his family. He loves to travel and finds joy in woodworking and riding his motorcycle.
