Actually Connect

Actually Connect Therapy for people of all ages. Every clinician at our practice is EMDR and trauma trained. Attachment simply means a connection with another person.

We have specialists who also treat ADD, OCD, eating disorders, domestic violence, po*******hy, addiction, depression & anxiety . Don't wait - get started now. Hopefully a deep and meaningful one. All of us have an attachment style that we live and breathe by - whether we know it or not. This attachment style was created and ingrained in us through several different ways and building blocks such a

s how we were cared for when we are young, our life experiences and our previous attachments and bonds. With a little help and some knowledge you can understand your own attachments style and use this to empower the relationships in your life. Connection is where the happiness in life truly comes from. We provide individual and family therapy grounded in attachment to help individuals find better connections with their children, partners, spouses, co-workers, friends and others. We are EMDR and trauma trained. We treat depression, anxiety, eating disorders, OCD, ADHD, po*******hy addiction, trauma, disassociation, abuse, teenage issues, self injury, and other issues. **THIS**
Remember that doing things in order to be liked or accepted by others is not kindness. It is important to meet your own needs, even if it means not going with what other people want. There is a balance of taking care of yourself, while also being mindful of other's needs. Be wary to not lean too far on either side. If you aren't sure how to navigate that, reach out today and we can help!

Why is it that we so often wrongly associate kindness with not speaking up? It is okay to have a voice, to have an opinion, to have needs, and still be kind. Kindness is a lot less about pleasing others and a lot more about being mindful of others while also doing what's best for you. You can be kind and say no. You can be rude and say no. It is about the way you go about it and the circumstances you are in. All of my people-pleasing friends-- try and do one of the things on this list in a kind way and see how it goes for you!
