Yesterday we were out and about at Simmons Island and enjoyed the playground for a while. Today we went to the Kenosha Public Library Northside branch where they have a REALLY COOL book return machine that is fully automated and sorts where each book goes ALL BY ITSELF! We worked a bit on the community puzzle and checked out some new materials!

We also had a potential new friend visit and tour our program today while we were working on our laundry skills! This was very exciting as we are always happy to welcome new peers!

This year looks a little different… but trust us — it’s just as magical (if not better 😉).

Introducing our 262 Moms After-Christmas Party with Santa!
Hosted by 24’s Rumors Lounge, AES Towing, & Honda of Kenosha

💌 How it works:
Every accepted family will still have something special to open on Christmas morning! Each child will receive a custom letter from Santa 🎁 inviting them to our After-Christmas Party, where they’ll meet Santa, enjoy lunch, and get their gifts!

🎁 The Christmas Party:
📅 Sunday, December 28
📍 Rumors Lounge
🍽️ Lunch, presents, and pictures with Santa & friends!

Once your family is accepted, we’ll send you a specific arrival time for the party. We don’t have time slots yet we’re waiting to see how many kiddos are in each family so mark your calendars for Dec 28 and stay tuned!

Important Dates:
Toy Drive at Ollie’s Sat, Nov 1, 10 AM–4 PM
Shop and drop new toys right into our trailer we’re filling it up for local families!

🎯 First 150 families guaranteed (maybe more depending on donations)
Ages 0–11 get toys; 12–17 get gift cards (Action Territory + Culver’s meals)

Yesterday started out cold and rainy so we resumed up with some delicious pancakes for breakfast. After this rain stopped, we went for s nature walk and collected fall leaves for an upcoming art project! Stay tuned next week to see our amazing creations!! 🩶🩵💙

We are a bit behind this week on getting our posts out, but it's because we've been having so much fun in our Adult Day program!

Wednesday we explored Hawthorne Hollow and loved seeing the fall colors. There is so much to see here including some historic buildings, nature trails, art sculptures, a book walk and even a pet cemetery (talk about a perfect place for an October outing!)

Thursday we went to the Racine Zoo! While many of the animals were getting ready for winter, we got to see a lot and the zoo is ready for Halloween with their pumpkin nights displays throughout the whole zoo!

Another great fall day to enjoy Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm! We picked a few pumpkins to carve when it gets a little closer to Halloween. Stay tuned for our amazing Jack-o-lantern creations toward the end of the month!

And what could be better after a trip to the farm than enjoying their famous cookies?!

Sorry for the late post! Last Friday we explored more at Bristol Woods! We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch then adventured into nature and the swings!
