Come join the Milestone Counseling Team/Family in changing the life of a child. We need families in the Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, Morgan, Box Elder, Cache, Wasatch, Tooele and Utah county areas that can provide safe and nurturing homes to children in need. Our foster parents help children, ages 8 to 18, learn how to bond and attach, improve communication skills, learn healthy leisure activities, and prepare for a satisfying and safe adult life. Our parents assist in teaching daily living skills, understanding the importance of education, and how to develop healthy relationships with family and friends. We also work with children and adults with disabilities of all age ranges and have a variety of helping situations for the foster parents to be involved with. Requirements:
- All family members over the age of 18 must pass a Criminal Background Check with the State of Utah
- Foster Parents must be over the age of 21
- All household members must be related by blood or marriage
- Foster Parents must complete 32 hours of free training provided by MCS (some training done at home at your convenience)
- Foster Parents must have own transportation
- Foster Parents must be First Aid/CPR certified (MCS can provide this)

Job Description : Foster Parents needed

Perfection is not required to be a foster parent but an open heart is.
Milestone Counseling Services is in desperate need of loving and healthy families to help the 2700 children in the Utah foster system.

There are only 1300 qualified foster families, at any given time, in Utah. This means that we do not have enough foster families to care for all our foster children. Every child needs a healthy and loving family and they need your help.

Responsibilities
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
-Foster parents are given a monthly stipend of $750-$2300 to help support their family.
-Foster parents do not pay for the medical, dental, and vision of the foster children. the state provides insurance and covers the cost 100%.
-The stigma's that are placed on our foster children, do not define them.
-You have the option to foster short-term, long-term, and also adoption.

REQUIREMENTS:
-You must be 21 years of age or older.
-You must have another form of income, other than fostering.
-You must be fostering for the right reasons. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYONE THAT WANTS TO FOSTER FOR THE WRONG REASONS.

Direct Care Staff positions available

We are in need of good reliable people to come work with our foster boys in our treatment facility in Pleasant View at Milestone Counseling. We need 3 to 4 males staff for this position.
-The pay starts at $10.00 and moves to $10.50 after training.
-We have part and full time and we have swing 2p-10p, Grave 10p-6a, Summer shifts 6:00a to 2:00p and On-Call shifts available.
You will be working with the boys in a group environment, keeping them on track, helping with school work, cooking etc.

Requirements:
-Must be 21 years old
-Have an active Drivers license
-Must pass a background check.
-Good driving record
