Valley EyeCare Center is proud to support Dr. Michael Gagnon’s Humanitarian Mission!

On August 16th, Dr. Gagnon will travel to Nuevo Progresso, Guatemala to provide eye surgery as part of a humanitarian mission.

While Dr. Gagnon offers surgical care, his family will be visiting local villages to support maternal health efforts and distribute much-needed donations.

We are currently collecting the following items to send with them:

Small containers of Play-Doh (1 ounce)
Crayons
Coloring books
New children’s shoes (sizes for ages 1 year to 5 years)
Stickers
Baby bottles

Your generosity will directly brighten the lives of children and families in these communities.

Please bring donations to Valley EyeCare Center by August 15th.

Valley EyeCare Center is excited to have Dr. Michael Gagnon back after his 7 day trip to do humanitarian mission cataract surgery in Nuevo Progresso, Guatemala with the organization Hospital de la Familia. The 5 person team of ophthalmologists, residents, and technicians saw over 300 patients, performed and taught local central american ophthalmologists over 100 surgeries, and multiple laser treatments. They were able to successfully restore vision to an underserved community in need.
