Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mommas!!!!.
Motherhood begins during pregnancy and ends at eternity...
Let's focus on the facts associated with this wonderful, wild journey..
A pregnant woman loses strength and elasticity in the pelvic floor muscles, abdominal and back muscles (spine) tp support the developing baby. The hormonal changes causes the tissues and muscles to soften, stretch to prepare for birthing which may result in pelvic floor dysfunction,
Postpartum :
Vaginal delivery:
Did you know that approximately 25% ( 1 in 4) women have pelvic floor dysfunction which includes pelvic organ prolapse, urinary or f***l incontinence or pelvic pain after vaginal birth.
C section: Has an impact on pelvic floor due to scar tissue retention, muscle imbalance , altered breath and abdominal coordination resulting in incontinence, scar sensitivity, painful s*x, low back pain and core weakness.
Diastasis Recti: Separation of the re**us abdominus muscle during pregnancy can lead to umbilical hernia, increase in back pain. pelvic and hip pain. 30-68% post partum women have diastasis recti.
THIS IS COMMON --- FACT. IT'S NOT NORMAL>>>>
