We are incredibly grateful to Debbie of for bringing some of her miniature horses for the residents to interact with. Debbie’s mother-in-law is one of our residents and after learning how many people we have that used to have horses, and the profound impact that equine therapy has, she volunteered to bring her minis. It was a very special visit. 🐴

One of our favorite activities is when the Connected Horse team comes to visit. Connected Horse is a program that offers equine-assisted therapy for individuals with memory loss and dementia, along with their care partners. These programs, including Sensory Engagement Classes that aim to foster connection and engagement through interactions with horses.
