Dr. Jamie Coughlan is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in blending natural medicine with conventional therapies to provide the best of integrative medicine. As an integrative health provider she is committed to improving patients' health using the latest in scientific research in natural and integrative medicine. She trained at Bastyr University, the nation's top naturopathic medical
school, and is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and California Naturopathic Doctor’s Association. At the center of her healthcare philosophy is education. Dr. Coughlan believes in empowering patients through education to enable them to optimize their health and live longer, healthier lives. She lectures at John Muir Hospital Women’s Health Center on various topics related to pain management, including natural approaches to breaking the pain cycle and integrative treatment options for chronic pain. She has also written numerous women’s health articles for integrative health magazines. Trained in primary care medicine, Dr. Coughlan is trained in all aspects of family health with specialties in hormone balance for men and women, digestive health and immune dysfunction. She uses a functional medicine approach to address chronic disease and looks upstream from symptoms to identify the root cause of disease. Her treatments are customized for each individual patient to match their personal health history, individual biochemistry, and laboratory results using comprehensive health history evaluations, physical exams, and various advanced diagnostic tests not normally available at your family practitioner’s office.
