🍀 St. Patrick’s Day at Sunol Creek Memory Care 🍀

We had a shamrockin’ good time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with our wonderful residents! From mixing up (and happily sipping!) festive shamrock shakes to getting creative with clover crafts and a colorful St. Pat’s banner, the day was full of laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of green. 💚

The celebration wouldn’t be complete without music! We enjoyed a lively concert featuring beloved Irish classics like Danny Boy and When Irish Eyes Are Smiling—filling the room with smiles, toe-tapping, and even a few singalongs.

Our residents took a creative trip to the coast during art class this week! 🎨 With guidance from our wonderful art teacher Lina, everyone created beautiful ocean landscape paintings inspired by the calming colors and movement of the sea. Art is such a powerful way to spark creativity, relaxation, and self-expression—and the results were absolutely stunning!

We had a very special visitor at Sunol Creek Memory Care this week! 🐾 Bella, a sweet terrier mix from the Canine Comfort program at Valley Humane Society, stopped by to share cuddles, smiles, and plenty of tail wags with our residents. Pet visits bring so much joy and connection, and Bella was a natural at spreading happiness. We’re so grateful for programs like this that brighten our day and warm our hearts!

Things got a little explosive at Sunol Creek Memory Care—in the best way! 🧪🥤 Our residents had a blast watching Diet Coke and Mentos fountains shoot high into the air during a fun science experiment. There were plenty of laughs, cheers, and wide-eyed reactions as we turned a simple activity into a bubbly spectacle!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year at Sunol Creek! 🧧✨ Our community gathered to enjoy delicious food, festive traditions, and a beautiful performance by young dancers who helped us welcome the Year of the Fire Horse. Moments like these remind us how special it is to celebrate culture, joy, and togetherness with friends and neighbors.

After a stretch of rainy days, we jumped at the chance to get outside and enjoy a beautiful scenic drive. Fresh air, green hills, and great company made it the perfect outing.

We brought a little New Orleans spirit to the community! Residents celebrated Mardi Gras by crafting colorful masks and enjoying some delicious bread pudding. Good food, creativity, and lots of smiles made it a wonderful day.
