Our hearts are so full 💛

A huge thank you to the amazing 5th graders at Saint Katharine Drexel, EHT for making PB&J sandwiches for our street outreach. What a beautiful act of kindness and service.

These sandwiches will go directly to individuals in our community who are experiencing homelessness and hardship—and they will be received with so much gratitude.

It means so much to see young people learning the importance of compassion, giving back, and caring for others. You are already making a difference in the world, and we are so proud of you!

Thank you for supporting our mission and helping us spread love throughout the community. 💫

Thank you to our friends at Atlantic County Government Division of Addiction Services for hosting today’s training 💙

And a special thank you to Tonia Groves Ahern, Michelle White, and Ryane Gouveia from the National Center for Advocacy and Recovery Inc. for providing the powerful “Sticks & Stones” training.

Language is so important—words matter, and they can either uplift or unintentionally harm. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing so we can better support our community with compassion and respect. 💫

We are incredibly grateful to Round Room Gives through TCC, Verizon Authorized Retailer for their generous support of our food pantry 💛

Because of this grant, we were able to continue providing essential food and basic needs to individuals and families in our community. With the growing need, this support truly makes a meaningful difference and helps us keep our shelves stocked and our doors open.

Thank you, Round Room Gives and TCC, for believing in our mission and helping us care for our community with empathy, kindness, and dignity for all.

🚐✨ We got our van back today… and we are beyond grateful!

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible friend Bob Whedbee who continues to show up for us in the most meaningful ways. Not only did he build our Free Little Library outside our office, but he completely transformed the inside of our van — donating his time, talent, and heart to this project.
He custom-built shelving so we can carry more supplies out into the community, and even created a fold-down desk so we can sit with individuals privately while on outreach. This truly gives us the ability to have a mobile, mini satellite office — meeting people where they are with dignity, care, and connection.

We’re also so thankful to Calvi Electric Company for helping set up our electric charger — another huge step forward in getting this van fully ready for the road!

We cannot wait to get out there, expand our outreach, and serve even more people in our community. This van is going to make such a difference. Special thank you as well to General Motors and the American Red Cross New Jersey Region for their support in making this possible.

It truly takes a village… and we feel it every day.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. 💫

✨ Today we had the pleasure of visiting Ocean Heights Presbyterian Church. Even though we forgot to take pictures, it was truly a wonderful experience.

Our Executive Director, Susan Long, met with members of the church to share about Angels in Motion and the work we are doing in the community. It was such a meaningful conversation about the needs we are seeing and the ways we can continue supporting people together.

The congregation also held a beautiful collection for us and donated an incredible amount of toiletries and supplies for our toiletry closet—items that are so greatly needed for the individuals and families we serve.

Ocean Heights Presbyterian Church has supported Angels in Motion for many years, and we are so grateful for their continued kindness, generosity, and belief in our mission. 💛

Thank you for always standing with our community.

💛 Looking Back at Our 2025 Impact 💛
As we continue moving through a new year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact made in 2025 through love, compassion, and community support.

Because of our volunteers, partners, staff, and supporters, Angels in Motion was able to:

✨ Conduct outreach 10 times per month in Atlantic City, Pleasantville, and surrounding towns in Atlantic County
✨ Distribute 30,000 blessing bags, helping address food insecurity and basic needs
✨ Provide 600 doses of Narcan and overdose education to help save lives
✨ Host Hope for the Holidays, serving over 800 community members
✨ Provide 1,200 rides to treatment, medical appointments, court, recovery meetings, and employment support
✨ Assist 900+ individuals with rental assistance for recovery housing
✨️Recovery Housing Scholarships:
Through the generosity of the families and friends of Timmy Small Jr., Erika Paterson, and Candace Mazza, Angels in Motion was able to provide recovery housing scholarships for individuals seeking a safe and supportive place to rebuild their lives in recovery. These memorial scholarships continue to create hope and opportunity for people working toward long-term stability.
✨️Through peer support and case management, individuals were connected to treatment, housing, healthcare, employment resources, and recovery supports
✨ Deliver 800 care packages to people in rehabs, nursing facilities, and recovery housing
✨ Place 20 individuals into emergency motel shelter
✨ Distribute 800 bus passes to reduce transportation barriers
✨ Provide 561 free haircuts during outreach events
✨ Support 50 families affected by substance use disorder and 10 displaced families with holiday gifts
✨ Host 143 wellness workshops with 600+ participants, including weekly yoga and healing programs
✨️Our Community Wellness Center in Pleasantville also expanded services to 6 days a week, continuing to grow as a safe space for recovery, connection, and support, in addition to food pantry and clothing/toiletry closet

None of this happens alone.

It happens because of a community that believes in people helping people. 💛
