5 Year Anniversary!!!

Phew! What a whirlwind. 5 years ago, with a 1- month old on one hip and a 1.5 year- old on my other hip, I decided it was a great idea to start a business. And what a journey it has been!! I am so incredibly grateful to say Elide has made it this far. In the last 5 years, I've laughed, cried, juggled many roles, second guessed myself, gained confidence, struggled, got frustrated, jumped for joy, felt defeated, triumphed, and everything in between. Mostly though, I've learned so incredibly much; not only about the food and health industry, but about myself. I've had so much support from family, friends, and amazingly loyal customers. It has been such an honor to have met so many amazing people along the way that I now call friends.

With that said, this is a "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart to all of you whom have cheered me on, mentored me, offered advice, stuck by my side through all my crazy ideas, got roped into slinging Elderberry for a day, and mostly, for all the love you've shown me. I definitely couldn't have done it without you.

So, what does Elide mean exactly?

It means to omit or ignore completely; just as our products do. If it doesn’t come straight from Mother Earth - we stay away. We create guilt free consumption with real food your body can digest and utilize for good!

Elide is a combination of my two beautiful daughters, Elina & Eden. My driving force and honest taste testers for all of my products.

And fun fact… My mom actually hand-wrote Elide for my logo! Thanks mom 💜

What does Elide (el-lied) mean?

The word, "Elide" was created from combining my daughters' names; Elina and Eden. My girls are the driving force behind my entire business. Each and every ingredient used in our recipes has been thoroughly researched and tested to ensure the finished product is not only safe and effective for children, but that it is also enjoyable for children to consume. Coincidentally, elide, by definition, also means, "to leave out of consideration or to omit;" the emphasis of each and every product that I create. I promise to use only the best, organic, and as-locally-sourced-as-possible ingredients in my recipe formulations. Synthetic ingredients of all types; fillers, sweeteners, colors, dyes, thickeners, etc will NEVER be considered for our product line and always omitted.

Why is the difference between Elderberry Syrup and Elderberry Tonic?

When purchasing elderberry syrups at local drug stores, you'll find the consistency to be that of good ole' cough medicine; thicker than honey. Because our products do not contain any synthetic sweeteners or fillers, our Elderberry Tonic has more of a juice consistency. We felt taking the word "syrup" out of the name might eliminate the assumption that it would be a thick and sticky substance. Additionally, we feel using "tonic" in the name aligns much better with our product's purpose. Tonics have long been created to build on one's foundation of health; physical, mental, and emotional. Consuming our Elderberry Tonic does just that; initiates support for your long-term well being.
