Firefighters from the Menifee, Plumerville, and Hillcreek stations responded Wednesday to a single-vehicle accident on eastbound I-40 near the Conway-Faulkner County line. The driver lost control and struck the retaining cables, but was not injured. Med-Tech EMS evaluated the driver at the scene; transport to a hospital was declined. Arkansas State Police and the Conway County Sheriff's Office are investigating the crash. Arkansas Department of Transportation will be working to repair the cables - please slow down and be aware of the workers.
