Frat Autism FRAT® offered by Religen detects autoantibodies to FRα which may contribute to neurological disorders

Fratnow's FRAT® measures the presence of antibodies that interact (either block or bind) with the activity of the Folate Receptor A (FRA). FRA is responsible for the transport of folate into certain tissues, most notably the brain, placenta and ovary. These antibodies were detected in numerous individuals with disorders like Cerebral Folate Deficiency, Autism Spectrum Disorders, sub-fertility in women, and pregnant women carrying fetuses with neural tube defects (NTD). FRAT® measures these antibodies which is an indication that folate needs to be delivered in different ways to enter the brain. This early detection of the antibodies leads to early intervention for diagnosis of Autism.

But what if the real story is underdiagnosis in girls?
Differences in symptoms, social expectations, and masking behaviors may mean many girls remain unrecognized for years.
It’s time to rethink what autism looks like.

Sometimes what looks like “withdrawal” may simply be exhaustion.

New research suggests that autistic brains may be working with less available energy constantly balancing and conserving it just to get through the day.

Maybe it’s not about unwillingness. Maybe it’s about understanding.

For years, autism has been considered more common in boys.
But new research suggests the gap may be smaller than we thought.

Many girls and women are simply diagnosed later because their traits can be harder to recognize.

Awareness can change that.
