Don’t worry if you missed Part 1, the webinar. You can still participate in Part 2, the in-person guided mindfulness practice on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 12:00-1:30 PM in-person at the ETHOS Plymouth Meeting location, 3031 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA, 19462. Participants will get expert help to make mindfulness accessible in both professional and personal contexts. There is no fee. Register here: https://zurl.co/K7XTC

The practice will be guided by Kenneth Beldon, MAR, MDIV, MSW, LCSW, a psychotherapist and Assistant Clinical Director of Revive Wellness Psychotherapy. Ken has also worked at the intensive outpatient program (IOP) level of care in dual diagnosis treatment. His primary approach is Internal Family Systems and he has completed IFS Level 1 and Level 2 training through the IFS Institute.

Ken also has training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and related mindfulness-based approaches. Prior to getting his MSW in 2019 he was a Unitarian Universalist minister, having been ordained in 1998. From 2005 to 2022 he served as the founder of the WellSprings Congregation, a spiritual community that he started from scratch. Among his many areas of professional focus, he had a particular commitment to leading mindfulness retreats, and the intersection between mindfulness and other contemplative spiritual practices and recovery. Ken fully retired from congregational life in 2022 to focus solely on his second career as a therapist.

Sean is a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA and an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Sean earned a Master’s degree at Walden University in Education in 2009. He completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Chestnut Hill College in 2012. He has extensive experience facilitating IOP programs and with conducting family support groups.

The theoretical approaches that Sean widely utilizes are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Prior to counseling, Sean taught Social Studies to middle and high school students and utilizes this experience to help adolescents struggling with academic and behavioral issues.

Behavioral health professionals: Don't miss the next offering from ETHOS Institute. "Mindfulness: Information and Application" will be presented by Kenneth Beldon, MAR, MDIV, MSW, LCSW, a psychotherapist and Assistant Clinical Director of Revive Wellness Psychotherapy. This two-part, three hour course will explore the neuro-scientific, psychological, interpersonal, and spiritual bases for how mindfulness positively impacts clinical work, as well as professional and personal well-being. The first part will be a webinar. The second part will be presented in-person at the ETHOS Plymouth Meeting location, 3031 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA, 19462.

The first part will take place virtually on Oct. 10 from 12:00-1:30 PM. It will be psychoeducational, providing information about how mindfulness contributes to beneficial outcomes in the realm of mental health and substance use treatment while also serving as a protective factor against professional burnout.

The second part will be presented in-person on Nov. 20 from 12:00-1:30 PM. It will offer guided mindfulness practices, to assist in making mindfulness accessible in both professional and personal contexts.
