Securement to Prevent Noncuffed Central Venous Catheter Dislodgement in Pediatrics: The SECURED Superiority Randomized Clinical Trial.

Big news in pediatric vascular access!

The SECURED Trial found that SecurAcath is superior to the standard of care in reducing catheter dislodgement in pediatric patients. Fewer dislodgements mean fewer interruptions in treatment, improved safety, and better outcomes for the youngest patients.

This superiority randomized clinical trial compares the rates of dislodgement for noncuffed central venous catheters secured with a subcutaneous anchor securement system with sutureless securement devices in pediatric patients.
