October is National Physical therapy Month! The theme this year is "PT For Future Me," highlights physical therapy's role in enhancing movement and function in people of every age and ability. 🏋️‍♀️ 🕺👩‍🦽

Today we had the opportunity to honor our Veterans with a special breakfast. Thanks to our Life Enrichment staff, Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243 Plymouth WI and special guests Brian Verhelst and Jonathan Belval, Assistant County Veterans Service Officers from Sheboygan County Veterans Services, for serving our seniors, expressing gratitude and thanking them for their service. 🪖🇺🇸

Pastor Tom Fleischmann is our Volunteer for the month of November! 👏
He served as a Pastor at Rocky Knoll for 21 years. Pastor Tom continues to assist with worship services and assists with Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243 Plymouth WI during Flag Day, Veterans' Breakfast and various other Veterans Day programs. 🪖🇺🇸
Two highlights he says he has experienced during his time at Rocky Knoll, is the relationships he has made with the residents and the deep appreciation of the staff while a short term resident at Rocky Knoll. Thank you Pastor Tom for generously sharing your time, honor and dedication to the residents and families of our community. ❤️🤍💙

This week we had a few new visitors to our campus and we wish to extend a warm welcome to each of them! 🙌 Stan had a family gathering, Patti was visited by her former colleagues, all beauticians, who worked with her at JC Penny, Ruckus said hello to Debbie, Jan the Cookie Grandma 🍪 and Dawn (celebrating her birthday all the way from Texas) 🥳 at the The Rock Café and Emma 🐾 did a great job as hall monitor and official greeter at the B building entrance.

We had very special visitors today!

Mike Evers, son of Dr. Raymond and Jean Evers, visited today from the east coast to spread the ashes of his parents. By his side was his wife, Harriet. Mike is the oldest son and has wonderful memories of growing up at Rocky Knoll.

Thank you, Mike and Harriet, for visiting and sharing the beautiful legacy of your family with us.

She comes to work in a blow up pig costume and walks around the facility to make people laugh, of course! 🤣🐷
