I’m not at a loss for words. I pray our nation, our neighbors, our friends, coworkers, and families can do better.
We don’t need to all share the same political views, in fact, we shouldn’t. A strong nation is built on diverse perspectives. But we do need a shared commitment to empathy, decency, and compassion.
We need more people who help, who lift others up. Less dehumanizing, more understanding. Less shouting over each other, more listening to learn. We can disagree and still treat each other with respect. We can debate and still choose love.
It starts with us. Let’s be better, together.
I’ve been living a life that is all-consuming on my home front. I’ve been prioritizing my faith a bit more recently, and after yesterday’s events I’ll be upping the ante even more. Thank you, Charlie Kirk, for your service. I pray for your family.
I pray for our nation on yet another tough day. May we all remember the unity that stemmed from 9/11/01 and harness the power of strength in numbers and oneness. 🇺🇸
