Teen dating violence is more common than many people think. One in three teens in the United States will experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse by someone they are in a relationship with.
In a world full of mixed messages, one thing that centers around the truth is that respect is non-negotiable. We need to empower our adolescents and teens to recognize harmful patterns early. Bring awareness to teen dating violence to stop the abuse before it starts.
If you know someone who has experienced teen dating violence and may be in crisis, call Michiana Behavioral Health today at 574-936-3784.

National Patient Recognition Week serves as a call for healthcare professionals across the county to recommit themselves to delivering exceptional care and enhancing patient satisfaction.
As health care providers, we need to take more time to listen to our patients, make them smile and pledge a commitment to providing quality care. Even though National Patient Recognition Week is just a week, we want to keep our patients informed, connected and continue to be our patients ally each and every day.
To our patients that have walked through our doors, believing in us to provide treatment, we thank you!

Please take the time to ask your kids how they are feeling. Not all kids process situations the same. Some kids feel things deeper and for longer than others do. Today our kids are dealing with school shootings, cyber bullying, social media, family dynamics and competition. Teach your child coping strategies, creative expressions and strategies on how to control certain emotions. Most of all children need to be heard, to have structure and guidance.
If you see changes in your child and feel they are in crisis, please reach out. Michiana Behavioral Health treats children and adolescents ages 6-17 years old. We take pride in teaching them how to build confidence, learn coping mechanisms and develop problem-solving skills that can foster a higher quality of life and improved social interactions at home and school.
