Did you know your immune system is highly dependent on the nutrients in your blood stream, and that your blood stream is made mostly of water? If you don’t drink enough water, you cannot transport nutrients to each organ system. 💦

Staying hydrated 🚰 is important for detoxification and making sure we are clearing out any foreign and waste materials. If your system is not flushed out, that waste could weaken your immune system. Dehydration can also contribute to muscle tension, headaches, low serotonin production and digestive issues.

Bottomline, hydration 💧 helps fight off illness, bacteria and other infections, so drink plenty of water!

Not only is it still flu season, but it is RSV season, too! RSV is a common cold virus 🦠 that may cause mild symptoms in healthy people; however, it can be serious for infants and for older adults. RSV is the most common cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in children less than age one. To prevent the spread of RSV, wash hands frequently 🧼, cover your nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing 🤧, avoid close contact with others while symptomatic, and avoid sharing utensils, kissing or shaking hands. Avoid contact with others until 24 hours fever-free without fever-reducing medications.
