Absolutely unstoppable is this badass of a lady! We are stoked to celebrate Miss December, our very own Katie McEachern! ✨❤️💪🏼
When Katie began her HY1620 journey 2.5 years ago, she came in hot as a Pilates maven. As an independent artist and surface pattern designer by day, she’d slide in most night classes and quickly expanded her horizons with Breathwork & Meditation, Yin, Kettlebells and Women’s Circles. Not one to shy away from the hard Inner Work that many avoid, she’s down for all the consciousness expanding experiences and conversations, becoming a beloved community member that’s recognized in any class she’s in. A supportive gym fan from the beginning you can now find her most days at pumping serious iron ((and it shows 🔥💪🏼)) Over 400 classes deep, we couldn’t be more proud or inspired by the beautiful being that is Katie Mac ❤️
What brought you to Hot Yoga 1620?
Three years ago, a neighbor convinced me to try Hot Yoga 1620. I started with Pilates, but quickly discovered so much more: strength classes, yin and relaxed flow yoga, meditation, breathwork, women’s circles, and an amazing community.
What’s your favorite movement/posture?
Right now my favorite movement is the kettlebell sn**ch, and my favorite posture is reclined butterfly 🦋
What sets your soul on fire?
Nature and creativity are what light me up. Time outside helps me breathe deeper and see the world more clearly, and creating art lets me express what I find there. Strength training at 1620 also lights me up in its own way. It’s helped me grow into someone who feels more consistent, disciplined, and grounded in how I show up for myself. ♥️
