FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Allen Reese Hearing Aid Center Celebrates 50 Years of Hearing Health Excellence in Downtown Plymouth

Plymouth, Indiana — Allen Reese Hearing Aid Center is proud to celebrate 50 years of serving the Plymouth community. Located at 322 N. Michigan St., Suite C, since 1976.

We can hardly believe 50 years have passed. What began as a mission to help people hear more clearly has grown into a lasting tradition built on relationships, trust, and care. Over the years, we have had the privilege of meeting so many incredible individuals and helping families stay connected with the loved ones who matter most.

At Allen Reese Hearing Aid Center, we have so much to be grateful for. Every conversation restored, every smile shared, and every life improved has been part of a journey far greater than we could have imagined. For 50 years, our purpose has remained the same: helping you hear what you’ve been missing.

As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect with gratitude and look ahead with hope.

Here is a special message from Rod and Beth:

“It has truly been a blessing. We are grateful and humbled by the number of people we have been able to help over the years. We look forward to continuing this work and serving even more families in the future.” - Rod Noftsger

“It has been an honor to carry on my family’s legacy, passed down from my parents. Continuing their mission to serve the community and help families communicate with and honor their loved ones means more to me than words can express.” - Beth (Reese) Noftsger

As part of our 50th anniversary celebration, we will be hosting special events throughout the year to honor this milestone and celebrate with the community we are proud to serve.

Big announcement coming Wednesday the 25th, 2026.

Make sure you’re following along and get ready.

We’ll be sharing it right here on Facebook and Instagram!

If you have stopped by the office and have not seen us lately, here is why.

We have been traveling the past couple of weeks, and it has been busy, exciting, and meaningful.

Rod Noftsger plays the jazz chair in a 16 piece big band that travels the world. This was his 20th trip with Global Missions Project, serving this year in Guatemala. Over the years, he has also traveled to Japan, Russia, Scotland, Greece, Finland, Cuba, Austria, Hungary, and Portugal.

His passion is jazz music and using it to serve alongside Christian musicians around the world.

On the last day, Rod performed a solo. If you skip to the two minute mark in the video, that is where his solo begins.

Take a moment to check it out. 🎶

The moments, the memories, and the generations of hardworking people who helped build this community into what it is today.

We are grateful for the foundation that was laid before us and for the opportunity to continue serving and investing back into the place we call home.

We have something very special in the works.

Back then, hearing care looked very different.

The equipment was larger, adjustments were done by hand, and every appointment required time, patience, and experience.

Today, technology allows for more precision, comfort, and convenience than ever before.

What hasn’t changed is the importance of personal care, trust, and taking the time to truly listen to our community.

The past laid the groundwork for the progress we see today, and that foundation continues to guide how we care for our community.

Hear What You’ve Been Missing!

01/27/2026

Hearing is something many of us take for granted until it starts to change. (Long Post)

It doesn’t usually happen all at once. It’s gradual. You might notice yourself asking people to repeat themselves, turning the TV volume up a little higher, or feeling exhausted after conversations because you’re working so hard just to keep up.

Over time, those small moments can add up and begin to affect your confidence, relationships, and overall quality of life.

Untreated hearing loss doesn’t just impact what you hear. It can affect how connected you feel to the people and moments around you.

Conversations may start to feel frustrating instead of enjoyable. Social situations might feel overwhelming. Even everyday sounds like the doorbell, phone ringing, or someone calling your name can be missed. These experiences are common, and you’re not alone in feeling this way.

The good news is that hearing care has come a long way.

Today’s hearing evaluations are comfortable, thorough, and designed to give you a clear understanding of your hearing health. Hearing solutions are more advanced, more discreet, and more personalized than ever before. Most importantly, getting your hearing checked gives you answers. It helps you understand what’s happening and what options are available to support you moving forward.

Prioritizing your hearing is an investment in your daily life. It can mean clearer conversations, stronger relationships, and the confidence to participate fully in the moments that matter most. Whether you’ve noticed changes recently or have been putting it off for a while, there is no better time to take that first step.

At Allen Reese Hearing Aid Center, we are committed to helping you hear better and live better through personalized care, experience, and trust built within our community. If you’re ready to learn more about your hearing health or simply want to start the conversation, we’re here for you.

Hear What You’ve Been Missing!

It’s a lighthearted moment, but for many people, this is a familiar experience.

Missing parts of conversations, asking others to repeat themselves, or feeling unsure about what was said can happen more often than you realize.

Over time, those moments can become frustrating and even lead to avoiding conversations altogether.

A hearing appointment can help you understand what’s really going on and what options are available to make everyday conversations clearer again.
