Strengthening behavioral health support across our communities. 💙

We're excited to share that BID Plymouth has awarded more than $1.3 million in Community-Based Health Initiative (CHI) grants to four local organizations serving Plymouth, Kingston, Duxbury, and Carver!

Over the next three years, these funds will expand school-based mental health programs, provide grief support, reduce isolation among older adults, and connect residents with vital behavioral health resources.

We’re proud to showcase our Winter Art Display at BID Plymouth! ⛄

Thanks to Lauren Jezierski of Plymouth North High School (pictured here) and Jessica Hurd, Project Manager at BID Plymouth, artwork from local teens and seniors is now brightening our halls.

The collection — featuring paintings, mixed media, crochet pieces, and heartfelt poems — is displayed throughout the hospital, with many pieces located in the cafeteria for patients, visitors, and staff to enjoy.

We are so grateful to our community partners and artists for helping make BID Plymouth a truly healing environment. 💙

In observance of National Nurses Day (Tuesday, May 6), the Boston Globe's “Salute to Nurses” honors and celebrates the invaluable contributions of nursing professionals, acknowledging their unwavering dedication and compassionate care.

The “Salute to Nurses” section will feature letters from patients and families giving thanks to special nurses in their lives, and articles celebrating those who give so much of themselves each and every date to ensure we’re cared for in times of need.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to every member of our BID Plymouth team for your dedication during the blizzard that brought close to 30 inches of snow to our community. ❄️💙

Despite these challenging conditions, our hospital has remained open and operational throughout the storm and our entire team remains focused on what matters most—our patients. Care continues safely and effectively, even as many team members navigated difficult travel, longer shifts, and rapidly changing circumstances. We are deeply grateful for their professionalism, teamwork, and resilience.

We also want to recognize our Facilities and Security teams, who continue working tirelessly to clear snow and maintain access to the campus. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as this work continues throughout the week!

This February, we’re proud to recognize American Heart Month 2026 — a national effort to raise awareness of heart disease, the leading cause of death in the U.S., and the importance of prevention and heart-healthy habits. ❤️

The team at BID Plymouth Cardiology marked the occasion by wearing red in support of women’s heart health and forming a heart for these incredible drone photos and videos captured by our own Eugene B. Valsky, MD, Internal Medicine–Cardiovascular Disease.

In addition to Women’s Heart Health, themed weeks throughout the month highlight congenital heart defects and the benefits of cardiac rehabilitation — all key parts of comprehensive heart care.
