Our Mission: We are committed to providing innovative, specialized approaches to occupational, physical and speech-language therapy. Who do we help?

We recognize the importance of educating and empowering children, families, and the community. Interested in therapy at MPTC? Start by going to our website www.minnetonkatherapy.com and fill out the new client paperwork (case history, insurance form, clinic policies). We will contact you to schedule once we review your documents. Adults should fill out the 8 year old and up myofunctional therapy case history. We help children Birth to 18 who need PT, OT, Speech, Orofacial Myology, and feeding / support. We also have SLP-COM's who work with adults who need Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

At Minnetonka Pediatric Therapy Center our physical therapists treat gross motor delays and specifically target sitting skills.

We teach parents various strategies to encourage sitting stability in multiple positions.

Sitting is a foundational skill that is needed for gross motor transitions to achieve crawling and pulling to stand.

Let's talk about LANGUAGE therapy!
In our speech-language sessions we follow a child-directed and play based approach to increase engagement and expressive language output. We use the child's interests to model verbs including "push" and "go" or modifiers such as "fast" and "slow". We love to make therapy personalized and fun for all of the children we work with!

One way to make tummy time more engaging for a newborn or early aged infant is using high contrast cards. Newborns initially only see black and white. Red is the first color they can differentiate and with colors beginning to form around 3 months of age.
