Plymouth is proud to highlight our memory care community, The Boulevard, today. The Boulevard is a community that benefits residents with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer's. Jessica, The Boulevard Manager, shared what makes Plymouth stand out.

"We have caring and compassionate staff that treat everyone with dignity and respect. Our staff are knowledgeable on the individual needs of the residents and the home-like atmosphere. Today is National Caregivers Day! Miller's has many caregivers. They are there to help your loved one with daily routines, medicines, meals, grooming, and any other care they need. They allow you to once again just be a spouse or family member.

February is American Heart Month. Nanette is working very hard to keep her heart healthy so soon she can go home. She is working to keep her strength up and stay healthy. Miller's would like to raise awareness, fight heart disease, and encourage healthy habits for everyone! ❤❤

To celebrate Valentine's Day the residents decorated heart shaped cookies and judged which employees wore the best red and pink outfits. The residents seemed to have as much fun decorating their cookies as eating them! The employees went all out for the wear red and pink. The three heart heads were the "winners," but everyone looked great and had fun.

Yesterday we posted employee's marital advice in honor of National Marriage Week. Today we are posting resident's marital advice. The residents have quite a few years invested in their marriages, so they must be doing something right!

To celebrate the Super Bowl, residents ate pizza for dinner! Then there were the snacks. Football shaped sugar cookies, popcorn (freshly popped), cheese balls, and "tailgate" mix. Everyone seemed to have a good time – even though the game was not very exciting.

Last Friday Plymouth held an appetizer contest for the employees. The public was invited to serve as judges. There were 10 entries. They were all delicious, but the winners were the 2 buffalo chicken dips and the sausage balls. There were also candied jalapeno and bacon deviled eggs, rotel dip, taco dip, chicken and spinach balls, salami roll ups, onion and bacon roll ups, and pulled pork potatoes.

Everyone was well fed and had a lot of fun. Mark your calendars for Friday, February 27th for our Soup Cook Off. Hope to see you then!
