We'll warm up with some Thai Yoga techniques, practice some yoga poses that are fun to do with a partner, and even play around with a little acro-yoga. No fear! This class is welcoming to all, including complete beginners.

Upcoming! This month and next month I'm offering these mini retreats!

They are just 3 hours, but packed full of good stuff to help restore some of the places we feel depleted, give support to ourselves and eachother, and move in a positive direction.

Each retreat starts with yoga, followed by some introspection. This month is about setting intentions, and finding ways to help your intention stay and grow with you through your year. We use guided imagery and yoga nidra to help seal in this intention and take it along your path.

Leave in the afternoon, feeling a little clearer, a little calmer and go into your year with renewed intention. 🙏

Beginning yoga is for all kinds of beginners:
-Never done yoga
-Haven't done yoga in a while
-Wanting to learn some foundations of yoga to give grounding to the practice you already have.

We'll go over an introduction of yoga principles and philosophy. Some hows and whys of posture alignment. And simple but highly effective techniques for breathing and meditation.

I spent a lot of time in 2022 reviewing my old training manuals and updating content (plus some fun admin work of SWOT analysis and financial reports and surety bonds), so that I could officially make this announcement this January!

I had the honor of working w/Marci Zinc for several years pre-pandemic, with a curriculum that is rooted in authenticity. I am always adding and enhancing in ways that honor the authenticity of the training, the experience of those passing through it, and my own truth and understanding of yoga.

As memories of the things I love about this yoga teacher training start to surface, I also remember things I loved from attending my first training 13 years ago.
There's something very special about those first 200 hours. It is a commencement of something you will continue to learn about for the rest of your life. It is also a continuation of something you already started the first time you took a mindful breath, or unrolled a yoga mat. 🙏🙏

I'm so excited to have fellow co-op member Jessica Kohn join me as lead teacher this year, and the prospect of making the training truly cooperative by nature in year to come!🧘‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️🧘🏽

I'm putting out a new class starting this week!
I was inspired to put this together by my partner, who is currently extraordinarily stiff, and said something like he used to do really long stretches while lounging around and whatnot. Well, long stretches are at the heart of yin yoga, which I like to practice as a meditation within the body as it releases slowly into a posture.

The restorative part is for another friend that is seeking evening restorative classes, so we'll close each class with several supportive and restorative poses while practicing relaxing.
I'm throwing a tiny version of nidra in here as well, so each night you can leave this class feeling ready to get through the rest of the week!

I dont know if its just me, but I'm having trouble remembering which day it is today, so just so you know, Wednesday is 2 days away!

day 22. I'm super grateful for shared recipes and traditions. I love hearing about people's traditions, especially around holidays and foods. Someone just told me about their family's tradition for everybody to go out bowling for Thanksgiving and get their dinner catered in. LOVE it. One side of my family does Thanksgiving in October (to leave room for more Thanksgiving later) LOVE it. My sister shared her squash roll recipe with both me and my mom so we could bring them to our 2nd Thanksgivings. LOVE it.

day 20. I'm grateful for the heart center. Heart, lungs, chest, upper back, shoulder, arms, hands. The subtle energy that lives here teaches me so much. I appreciate learning more about how to be compassionate and loving in a healthy and whole way. I continue to figure out how to circulate energy outward and continuously take it back into restore my own heart.
