Most of us live in the “gray.”
We don’t always neatly check every box for a diagnosis, yet we’re still struggling with symptoms.

This is where looking at lifestyle, diet, and the bigger picture becomes so important…looking at the why behind what’s happening.

Whether it’s been months or years… you’re always welcome back.

Play is an underrated part of winter and health.

I don’t love the cold, but I do love hockey, and it somehow makes winter feel manageable.

Find something new or familiar that you genuinely enjoy doing. Your health will thank you.

Low energy isn’t a personality trait.
These labs can help explain why…
THEN it’s time to dig deeper into why those deficiencies exist.

This winter has been rough for so many people.
The constant illnesses, being cooped up, bitter cold, and minimal sunshine, it adds up.
Burnout is real.

So find something that brings you joy.

And get outside…even if it’s just for a few minutes.
Small moments still matter!

Three years ago, my 3-year-old had appendicitis.

I was 34 weeks pregnant, exhausted, terrified… and probably watching too much Grey’s Anatomy 🫠

We caught it early, asked questions, and went with antibiotics instead of surgery.

Appendicitis may be routine for doctors, but for parents? Absolutely not.

Know the signs. Ask questions. Advocate. Cry. Repeat.

Low carb can be helpful short term …but staying there too long may slow metabolism, stall weight loss, increase fatigue, and disrupt sleep.

Balance matters. For many women, real progress comes from unlearning old diet rules and rebuilding trust with their body.

Nourish. Don’t punish.

I talk a lot about nutrition, hormones, and habits.
But joy matters too.
Laughter. Play. Excitement.

These things regulate your nervous system more than people realize.

This year my husband is expanding the backyard ice rink, and I’m already looking forward to all the fun on the ice…especially watching the kids light up.

This winter has felt heavy for a lot of people.
It’s been cold, dark, gloomy, and don’t forget all the sickness.
What brings you joy this season?

Being back in the office yesterday was a quiet reminder of something I see all the time…everyone is carrying something.

Burnout is everywhere.
So is guilt for needing rest.
So is the feeling that we should be able to push through a little longer.
One patient told me, “My body is just too broken to get better.”
And that sat heavy with me.

Most bodies I see aren’t broken.
They’re exhausted.
They’ve been asking for support for a long time.

It’s okay to say ‘no’ more often.
It’s okay to want your life to look different.
And it’s okay (necessary, actually) to rest.

That’s not quitting.
That’s listening.
