đź’– A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way đź’–
This Valentine’s season, one very thoughtful young girl helped make the hospital a little brighter for our patients. Aileen, a 3rd grader with a big heart, came up with the idea to give patients a small squishy toy — something comforting to hold if they felt scared before a procedure or simply wanted a special treat. 🧸

She carefully decorated each bag with heart stickers, adding an extra touch of love to every gift. Aileen enjoys dancing, reading, Pony Club, and Girl Scouts — and this is the second year she has spread Valentine’s cheer to our patients. 💕

Aileen was inspired by her own experience and shared these brave words:
“I just got eye surgery and it was a little bit scary but I did it!”

We are so grateful for Aileen’s compassion, courage, and generosity. Thank you for reminding us all that even the smallest gestures can make a big difference. ❤️

The member organizations of the Central New Hampshire Health Partnership are conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to evaluate our area's overall health and well-being. We are inviting you to participate in a brief survey to help us in that work.

Your anonymous response will help us understand diverse community perspectives, prioritize the health needs in our area, and develop an action plan to address those needs. This survey should take less than 10 minutes, and results will be available in several months at the completion of our assessment.

Congratulations to Xena Jopson, recipient of the John J. Jehl, MD Scholarship Award! 🌟

This annual scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. John Jehl, who devoted his career to patient care at Speare Memorial Hospital and was instrumental in creating our Hospitalist program. This scholarship honors nursing students who exemplify exceptional patient care, professionalism, and commitment to the community.

Xena was selected by Plymouth State University nursing faculty for her compassion, helpfulness, and positive attitude in clinical and client care. We are excited to support her continued journey in nursing and wish her all the best in her future career!
