For a routine vaccination schedule, children receive the first dose of the MMR vaccine at 12-15 months and a second dose at 4-6 years of age. With the accelerated schedule, clinicians may consider administering the second dose 28 days after the first dose, without waiting until the child turns 4 years old. Contact your clinician today.

Pocahontas County Public Health is taking a proactive approach by offering FREE measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccinations to anyone who has never been vaccinated or lacks proof of immunity, regardless of insurance status or residency.
