Good morning, my friends. Today, I am reminded that I must seek every day to get closer to my Creator. I do this through prayer and meditation. I must also seek daily to perform his work well, which is being of maximum service to him and those he puts in my path. In doing these two simple tasks, I have not nor will I ever need worry about things needed in my life cause they will be provided. It is when I fall short of these tasks that I struggle. Good morning, my friends."One who stands for nothing will fall for anything" (not sure of the origin of the paraphrased quote). I used to base my beliefs upon what others told me were the right beliefs to have. I have found that when I challenge those beliefs, the reasoning behind said beliefs is often topical and otherwise not well thought out. When I push for a deeper answer, this tends to be met with annoyance, pacification, or calls to fall in line.
Today, I follow my own path where I place the highest value upon objectivity and introspection. I guess it can be said that I used to have an externally based values system, whereas today, my values are largely internally based. I have found that it is much easier to follow my own values than the subjective values of others. Because of the above, I am more satisfied with life today than I have been in many, many years.
