Website Update

Prism Family Medicine is committed to serving our underserved community members. Unfortunately, the passing of H928 and its subsequent signing into law by Governor Little requires an update to our language. While we remain dedicated to our work in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, we will no longer use those words in public-facing spaces like this website after July 1st. This change ensures our ability to continue seeing our lowest income community members on Medicaid in our clinic. While we have reached out to the ACLU regarding the violation of our freedom of speech, we have been informed that they do not have the bandwidth to take on our case.

This bill does require that the Gender Tour be taken down as it falls under the broadly defined prohibited DEI conduct and training in H928. We will keep it up until the last possible moment and will look for another place for it to be publicly available.

We are also looking for a new motto for the clinic as our current motto uses a prohibited term under H928.
