Portneuf Valley Family Center, Inc.

Portneuf Valley Family Center, Inc. Welcome to Portneuf Valley Family Center Inc! We are a locally owned company established in 2005. Portneuf Valley Family Center, Inc.

was established in 2005 and has continued to grow from simple beginnings to three office locations in southeast Idaho. PVFC was started with a vision of opening a mental health clinic/agency where those who struggle with mental health issues would be able to get the valuable treatment they were in need of by caring professional staff. To make this vision a reality, PVFC recruits and hires only the

best individuals who are committed to the cause of enhancing the lives of those whom they serve. Today, as a result of that vision, PVFC employs the highest quality staff southeast Idaho has to offer to meet the individual needs of each consumer. Our treatment philosophy involves a community approach to recovery by working with the consumer and their families as well as natural supports living in their community. It is our goal to walk with each consumer on their unique path to recovery as a supportive team member in the community where they live. No one receiving treatment from Portneuf Valley Family Center, Inc. will be denied access to services due to the inability to pay. We offer a discounted sliding fee schedule based on family size and annual income.

At Portneuf Valley Family Center, we understand that past trauma, loss, or neglect can echo into adulthood, affecting our relationships, confidence, and overall mental health. But we also know that you are not defined by what may have happened to you, and that you are capable of breaking the cycle of trauma. Our approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping you guide your own recovery with a supportive team around you. Let’s begin the healing journey together.

Meet Trinety! She graduated in May 2024 with her master’s in social work and brings four years of experience in the foster care system, direct care, CBRS, and case management. Now at PVFC, Trinety provides therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. She’s currently training in trauma-focused CBT, trauma therapy, and Gottman Method couples counseling, although she already incorporates a wide range of therapeutic approaches. Trinety is passionate about supporting the neurodivergent community, helping clients gain understanding and build new skills in a safe, supportive space where they feel heard and accepted. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her soaking up the sun, playing games, hiking with her pets, or spending time with family. Thank you for all that you do, Trinety!

Our Story

A message from the owners

Hello! We are the administrators of the Portneuf Valley Family Center (PVFC). Our approach in the community is to develop with the consumer what they specifically need to be successful, help them discover what will work for them, and assist them along in their journey.

PVFC has been in Pocatello since 2005 and in Soda Springs since 2010. We have years of investment in working with the staff and consumers with PVFC. We are continually looking forward to the opportunity to create change, opportunity, and seek potential growth for our consumers and employees.

We hope to continue to evolve and grow as a mental health facility where consumers can receive support and recovery options to be successful. We believe the quote, “The only normal people are the ones you don't know very well" by Alfred Adler.
