How long have you been doing what you do, and how did you become a soul guide and path guide?
To answer this question, it’s probably best that I share with you a defining moment, and a resulting “compelling story”, that brought me to where I am today – coaching people like you on exactly what to do to find your destiny in life so you know what you're here for and find the fastest, shortest road to get what you want. That defining moment in my life happened in 2006.
Three years prior my then husband and I were working with a campground broker - looking at semi-retirement option and was actively creating the intention for that life. Traveled to Colorado and landed in Arco, Idaho looking at campgrounds for sale.- Arco, ID a town of 200 people, too small for me - but the openness and space - I'd fallen in love with the state and decided to put my house on the market the day we got home, that we'd had since 2004. It sold three days later. The "for sale" sign never went up.
On a whim, we went for a mountain bike in the hills on a Sunday, found a home in the Historical District, paid cash and moved in 28 days later. Now in Idaho, with our newfound cash windfall from the sale of our home in California, (I'm a terrific marketer) I was able to buy the home of my dreams in a historical district in Idaho.
Now, in a new town and not knowing a sole. I took my knowledge of running websites and online marketing, networking to Idaho and started the First Glossy magazine (sold in 2014) and the first Alternative Newspaper (sold in 2012) in South East Idaho. Pocatello Magazine and TBA ( The Bannock alternative).
SO, here I was, 44 years old transplanted from my native hometown in California, to Idaho. I knew no one in Idaho. Eight months later, I'd created a business selling advertising to local business and would sell on average $10,000 a week - going from an idea to success in a short time.
At this point in my life, I'd tell you I'd been great at making anything I wanted to happen in my life - happen. Positive mindset, creating powerful intentions and working with the energy of the universe was an undercover hobby for most of my life.
I believed in it so much, the year before we moved to Idaho, I had quit my well paying and high corporate job and started an online city guide to be flexible and take my job anywhere and work where ever I wanted to - mostly to travel to Maui - a lot!
I loved the idea of entrepreneurship, working for myself and being free, but I was doing it at a tremendous cost and didn't know it. While I was focused on my business, my husband started to feel left out. Long hours away from home left him suspicious - but he never said a word. Eventually, we were roommates living under the same roof but in separate beds. I threw myself even more into my work.
I'd started and sold businesses in the past. Some had failed. I survived bankruptcy and rebuilt again from nothing. Hell, I'd even survived menopause like a champion.
But - my marriage falling apart? This was different. In an attempt to get things back on track, I took my husband out for a New Year's Eve celebration and came home early - alone as I had to work the next day. Woke up the next morning - went to work - and never noticed he didn't come home at all that night. Three weeks later, I learned he was seeing someone else. Remember when I said he never talked about it? Yeah - his mind told him I was seeing someone else - cheating on him - and he believed it so much that he became the one that cheated. Mindset!
Fast forward - divorce.
That kicked me in the ass. All I kept saying to myself was: “How did my life end up like this?! How did I end up at 50 years old, divorced, selling my media and event business, and staring down a corporate job just to keep my house? I can create everything in my life - how did I create this? How will I ever break free again and get back to the freedom lifestyle when I'm back working for someone else!?”
I made a decision right then and there that I was going to figure out this whole “success thing”, this finding my own path thing in every area of my life -- even if it killed me! At that very moment, I made a commitment to immerse myself in absolutely everything that had to do with success: I got soul charting, divine healing, Reiki, reflexology and healing (which I'd dropped along the way) and attracted people into my life who were ready to have me help them - for healing, as a sounding board for their passions, frustrations, relationships or business-building ideas. Talk about a turn around! I made my intentions to become the best teacher I could so I could help others could find their path and share their gifts
I cleaned up my past and started teaching women entrepreneurs who are 30 plus, kids out of the house, empty nesters, what is your purpose in life now and how to make the best of it and share your gifts with the world - what I would have done at 30 - how they can do the same: I watched their confidence and happiness SKY ROCKET too! I have since made a commitment to dedicate the rest of my professional life to helping other self-employed, sole practitioners, breakthrough their inner blocks, make more money and have the FREEDOM to create the life and business they’ve always dreamed of.
Since then, I’ve worked with many private clients, spoken in front of countless groups: I lived my dream of traveling to Cozumel, Maui earning an income while I travel with my online business; and I have created "The Screw Society's Rules: Love, Money and Happiness on Your Terms" ™, a series of 10 important inner and outer business building steps every coach, consultant, healer or sole practitioner needs to apply to get out of her own way, leave society's rules behind and sky rocket their soul purpose, path and destiny in record time.
