HAPPY 🌎 OT DAY!

VPH founder, Paige Genova is an OT, and Dr. Brooke & Dr. Tiffany are PTs…..If you’ve ever wondered what makes a pelvic PT different from a pelvic OT, you’re not alone. So let’s take this opportunity to talk about it!

Like physicians (MDs and DOs), PTs and OTs start with different degrees and slightly different foundations. In school, Occupational therapists are trained with more of a mind-body approach, and Physical Therapists (PTs) are trained with more of a musculoskeletal/orthopedic approach.

But once you get to the point of hyper specialization in pelvic health, the overlap is huge. In fact, at Vital Pelvic Health we call all our clinicians Pelvic POTs 😆(PTs + OTs) because the best pelvic floor therapists treat the whole person—body, brain, and everything in between and that is the standard we follow here! Nothing but the best, most comprehensive care.
We have the best of all worlds here and only the most collaborative care!

We need your help VPH fam.

Who better than us to step up and help raise money and donate it to help get a new ultrasound machine!?

💯 %of proceeds will go to the Columbiana County Nights of Columbus who are going to purchase the machine 👏

1. Venmo we will collect for the next few weeks and then donate all the money

It can be complicated to have a good 💩! And you and I both know the holidays + travel always change your bowel habits😒
Did you know 50% of people with constipation have pelvic floor dysfunction?

Did you also know the pelvic floor is the gatekeeer for your bowels and it doesn’t matter how nice your stool consistency was, if your pelvic floor tone and coordination are off you will still have difficulty emptying??

It’s true! We treat constipation, incomplete emptying, f***l smearing due to constipation, excessive wiping, straining/pain with bowel movements, in frequent bowel movements, pre/post colon re-section surgery and hemmrhoids/fissues……..all the time!!

We also take a unique 4 step approach to treating bowel dysfunction in order to get to the root cause, ensure lasting relief and address all factors that may be contributing! (Makes sense, right?)
