Below is a letter I recently sent out to many of my patients, those who have been in the office over the past six months or so. If you have not received it and do not care to take the time to read the whole thing, I will summarize by saying that this coming week is expected to be the last one for me in my practice. We would love it if you stopped in just to say hello, er, I mean goodbye to me and Janice, and to say hello to Dr Clautti who will be with us as we go through this practice transition. Hope to see you!
Dear Valued Patient,
I will come right to the point to inform you that I am retiring from practice. After nearly forty-four years in the chiropractic profession, the time has come. It truly has been an honor and a
privilege providing health care to you and to all of my patients. I appreciate the trust you have given me and I would like to think that such trust has to at least some degree been rewarded. I
will retain your clinical records for a period of time and they can be made available to you upon request.
I am very pleased at this time to introduce to you Dr Christopher Clautti. Dr Clautti will be taking over my practice and will be happy to provide to you excellent ongoing chiropractic and
acupuncture treatment. He is a life-long Mahoning Valley resident, growing up on Youngstown’s south side and then Boardman, and has has himself been in practice some
twenty years in the Boardman and Poland areas. As I mentioned, he is trained, licensed and certified in acupuncture in addition to chiropractic. He uses techniques similar to mine, and I
can personally attest to his applying those techniques similarly as well, in that he has provided care to me. He has an instantly likable personality, and he even has a body habitus not dis-
similar to mine. I hate to say it, but it would be easy to look at him as a younger, fitter and better looking version of me!
To re-use the word fit, I feel strongly that he is a fantastic fit for moving into my office; a fantastic fit for him and a fantastic fit for our office’s pre-existing patients and anticipated new
patients. I hope that all of you give him the chance he deserves to earn the same trust you have placed in me.
One more thing. This letter is also to serve as a good-bye notice from Janice, as she too is retiring. For those of you who have come to know her and appreciate her efficient
professionalism as well as her friendliness, please be reassured that you can expect the same from Dr Clautti’s chiropractic assistant, Jamie. Jamie and Dr Clautti have worked together for
years. I have had the opportunity to meet her myself, and she is as instantly likable as he is.
So once again, practice member friends, this is farewell. If you see me out in public, please say hello. And if I seem to be forgetful of your name even while remembering your face, please
forgive me and tell me. I’m going to cut myself a little slack on that in guessing that I have seen more patients over the years than you have seen chiropractors.
Very Sincerely,
Jim Krumpak
