Hello, I’m Candice! I graduate May 11th, and then I’m cleared to take my state licensing exam. I plan to stay in the Meigs Co. area and wanted to give anyone and everyone that may be interested some insight. So please follow along if interested.
•Let’s start with the benefits of massage therapy. Massage is often viewed as a luxury instead of personal wellness and treatment, but massage therapy isn’t just a luxury it is a beneficial accessory to daily life. Below I will explain some basic benefits of massage.
• Massage reduces stress, depression and anxiety. Massage can increase serotonin and dopamine levels, resulting in decreased symptoms of depression. Massage can also significantly decrease cortisol levels (the stress hormone), which reduces stress and anxiety.
• improves sleep. The calming effects that follow a massage due to increased serotonin and dopamine levels encourage a peaceful and restful sleep.
• Boosts immunity. Massage therapy can also benefit your body’s immune system. After just one 45-minute massage, participants experience increased numbers of lymphocytes and white blood cells which play a key role in immune system function.
• Improved circulation. Massage aids in enhancing blood flow reducing inflammation, encouraging pain relief, and alleviating muscle soreness. Improved circulation makes you feel motivated and energized.
• These are just some basic benefits that come with massage, although there are PLENTY of other benefits that are included with massage. 💆🏼♀️
