🌨️ Winter Storm Safety 🌨️

A winter storm is coming this weekend. Stay safe and protect your health.
❄️ Stay inside if you can.
❄️ Don’t drive unless needed, roads may be icy and dangerous.
❄️ Walk carefully outside, ice can make you slip and fall.
❄️ If you shovel snow, go slow and take breaks. Snow is heavy, and working too hard can strain your heart.
❄️ Stay warm:
• Wear warm, dry layers
• Cover your head, hands, and face
• Change wet clothes right away
• Keep your home safely heated

🚨 Call 911 if you or someone you know has chest pain, trouble breathing, confusion, or signs of severe cold.

Check on family, friends, and neighbors - especially older adults
Stay safe and warm! ❄️

Maternal Health Matters!

At the RCDOH, we support healthy pregnancies, safe births, and strong families. Access to quality prenatal care and postpartum support is essential for moms and babies.

Paid family leave lets parents recover, bond with their baby, and attend important medical visits without risking income or job security. The U.S. Department of Labor highlights paid leave as vital for maternal and infant health.

Let’s raise awareness and support moms in our community before, during, and after pregnancy.
