San Antonio Gardens is a single site, non-profit Life Care retirement community of almost 500 residents. Our residents' enthusiasm for new experiences energizes the campus with a sense of vitality and well-being. Without the worry of future health care needs and catastrophic costs, or the responsibilities of homeownership, Gardens' residents can relish their independence and enjoy all the pleasure

s and comforts of home with more time for the pursuits that matter most to them and the assurance they will receive care, should they need it, for the rest of their lives. While the majority of our residents live independently, we also offer assisted living, memory care, high acuity assisted living, and skilled nursing care on-site.

What’s Growing Wednesday 🌿

Our famous fringe trees are officially in full bloom, and they are putting on quite a show.

With their soft, flowing petals and a light, sweet fragrance in the air, it’s one of the most beautiful times of the season here at the Gardens.

If you haven’t seen them yet, this is your sign to take a walk and experience them up close. Trust us, it’s worth it.

Which fringe tree is your favorite spot?

Stories brought us together once again.

This past weekend, we were proud to host our annual Love of Books event here at the Gardens, welcoming more than 80 local readers for a day centered around stories, connection, and community.

This year, librarian Amy Crow shared thoughtful insight on how public libraries are balancing their traditional services while adapting to the evolving needs of today’s communities. It was an engaging and meaningful conversation that resonated with so many in attendance.

We are grateful to continue this beloved tradition and to create spaces where ideas are shared, relationships are built, and a love of learning continues to grow. Thank you Friends of the Claremont Library

Earth Day at the Gardens 🌎🌿

This past Wednesday, our community came together to celebrate Earth Day with a special Earth Day Fair right here at the Gardens.

Residents and community members shared simple, meaningful ways to care for our environment, from conservation tips to everyday habits that make a difference. Tables were filled with ideas, conversations, and a shared commitment to being mindful of the world around us.

It was a great reminder that small actions can have a big impact, especially when a community comes together.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day both inspiring and impactful.

What a day at the 25th Annual Taste of Claremont.

Our team had a great time being part of such a special event, serving up delicious bites and connecting with so many members of the community. From amazing food and drinks to a lively atmosphere, it truly lived up to its reputation as one of Claremont’s best events.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit us. We loved being part of it and are already looking forward to next year.

On the Table Tuesday

There’s something special about the dining room at the Gardens.

In this clip, our CEO shares how it’s more than just a place to enjoy a meal. It’s a space filled with smiles, laughter, and connection. One of the highlights? Birthday Night, where residents come together to celebrate, share great food, and create meaningful moments.

It’s not just about dining. It’s about the experience and the joy of being together.

Watch the clip and see what makes it so special.

What I Learned Friday

Art has a way of changing how we see the world… sometimes literally.

In this clip, one of our residents shares her perspective on Skyspace and how light, space, and timing come together to create a completely different experience depending on when you visit.

It’s a reminder that learning doesn’t stop, and that new perspectives can be found in the most unexpected places.

Curious to hear more of her story?

🌿 What’s Growing Wednesday 🌿

Something special is starting to bloom here at the Gardens.

We have five beautiful fringe trees across our grounds, and they’re just beginning to show their first blooms. It’s that time of year when everything starts to come to life.

Stay tuned as they continue to blossom. It only gets better from here.

Do you have a favorite fringe tree to visit? Let us know in the comments. 🌸

🌿 Thriving Thursday: Wellness at the Gardens

This is what wellness looks like at the Gardens.

From fresh ingredients and chef-led tastings to interactive stations and resident activities, last weeks wellness fair brought it all together.

Our dining team, in partnership with Sodexo USA created an experience focused on nutrition, connection, and enjoying the moment.

It’s not just about eating well.
It’s about living well.

Special thanks to Andrea Arellano for capturing these moments.
