Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions worldwide, impacting movement, speech, and daily life. But it doesn’t have to steal hope. At the Be Perfect Foundation, we believe in creating pathways to recovery, empowerment, and resilience.

Spinal cord injuries impact thousands of veterans every year, leaving them to face unimaginable physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
We’re here to ensure they have the support they need to Rise Above and Reach Beyond. From providing financial assistance for therapy to offering emotional and community support, we are dedicated to helping our veterans rebuild their lives.

Women’s History Month Spotlight: Lorie Hargrave 💙✨

Lorie Hargrave has been part of Be Perfect since day one, helping families find support after a spinal cord injury. As head of billing and community relations, she is often the first person to connect with those who reach out for help. Whether it’s guiding them through financial challenges, helping with insurance, or just being there to listen, Lorie does whatever it takes to make a difference.

She also runs support groups for moms who, like her, have a child living with paralysis. She understands what they’re going through and makes sure they have someone to talk to. On top of that, she meets new clients in hospitals and rehab centers, making sure they have the resources they need.

Lorie wears many hats. She works behind the scenes handling billing, organizes fundraising efforts, builds relationships with donors, and helps Be Perfect continue to grow. At home, she’s a mother of four, spending time at the volleyball gym, hosting friends, and making sure her family comes first. When she gets a rare moment for herself, she enjoys relaxing at Laguna Beach or on the boat at Lake Havasu.

Kathleen Hargrave is more than just the Treasurer of Be Perfect—she’s the heart behind its day-to-day operations. After her grandson Hal Jr. sustained a spinal cord injury in 2007, she knew she had to do more. Stepping up in a big way, Kathleen dedicated herself to supporting the paralysis community, making it her life’s mission to help Be Perfect grow and change lives.

Outside of the foundation, Kathleen is a powerhouse in business, serving as Chairman & President of Apex Imaging Services. With a background in bookkeeping and business management, she has built and led successful companies, always keeping family at the center of everything she does.

Her leadership, compassion, and relentless drive have helped Be Perfect reach incredible heights. We are grateful for her unwavering commitment and the impact she continues to make every day! 💪💙
