Making a difference

You’ve probably heard ‘The Starfish Story’ before. You know, the one where a small child is picking up beached starfish and tossing them back into the ocean after a storm. An elderly passerby tell the child that there are so many starfish and they all can’t possibly be saved. The child tosses one back into the ocean and declares, “It made a difference for that one.”

This is what I love best about what I do. We are all stranded starfish on a beach at one time or another, and sometimes, all we need is some help to get where we need to be.

I realize that I can’t help everyone, but for the ones that I can, it is so incredibly rewarding to have made a difference.

I’m a small practice and like to keep things as simple as possible. I will call or e-mail you back personally and treat you like a human, not a number. When you’re reaching out for help only to have to w**d through layers of red tape, it can be disheartening and discouraging. I want my clients to feel comfortable and empowered throughout the process.
