🎆 2025 ended and 2026 began with a New Year's Eve party that was a night to remember! JKV residents danced the night away with Flashback, the live band, a delectable dinner, and of course, a champagne toast. 🍾🥂 Cheers to everyone, and here's to a great year to come!

✨ We may not have had a white Christmas, but South Florida has its own kind of magic at the holidays. JKV Residents were dazzled by Fort Lauderdale's sparkling mansions, all decked out in lights along the Intracoastal waterway. Aboard the privately chartered double decker River Queen, residents enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner, specialty cocktails, live music and a s'mores bar for dessert. What a perfect evening!

📻 The New City Players delivered a spectacular show at JKV with "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play." The beloved American holiday film came to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast featuring sound effects and a small ensemble that portrayed dozens of characters from this timeless classic.🎄

🎄 Each year we look forward to the Holiday Magic event, hosted by our community partners at the historic Bonnet House Museum & Gardens! It was so much fun to tour the house and gardens, and see incredibly unique themed holiday trees and wreaths, all created by local artists, sold by silent auction. The event featured live music and libations, and made for a magical evening for our residents! ✨

During this season of giving, JKV has forged a new community partnership with ScentsAbility Candles and recently donated a golf cart that they say will help support their daily operations. ScentsAbility is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), operating as a social enterprise offering income, life skills training, and a vibrant community for adults with I/DD. ✨ The JKV Holiday Concert, showcasing our resident choirs is always one of the most beloved events of the year. Under the direction of Choir Conductor Mario Arevalo, with this year's concert theme, "Christmas at the Movies," JKV Choirs dazzled us with theme songs that hit all the right notes. From festive classics to a surprise appearance by the Grinch, it was a night to remember! ✨

🎅 One of JKV's beloved traditions is the annual Employee Holiday Luncheon, where the leadership team serves up lunch for team members to thank them for a job well done throughout the year. This year's luncheon included raffles and giveaways, and new for this year -- a Gingerbread House contest! Things got competitive as each department created a masterpiece. Congrats to our dining team for winning first place! 🍪
