You may wonder WHY. Please read on.

To adapt is defined as ‘to adjust to new conditions’. Our bodies continually adapt to changing conditions in our environment. Glands release secretions in response to any given need- insulin, oxytocin, cortisol and estrogen to name a few. The body is a vast chemical factory.

Mere function of glands is not enough. Glands must secrete the proper amount of chemical, at the correct time, in conjunction with all the other glands. What is required is HARMONY, and it is achieved through the nerve system.

Impulses travel from the brain, over nerves to coordinate all of these systems. Because these delicate nerves are housed in the spine, it is crucial that no spinal misalignments (subluxations) are present. When subluxations occur, they create tension in the very nerves they are meant to protect. The resulting nerve interference leads to a loss of proper function and a loss of harmony in the body.

One must maintain a spine free of subluxations in order to thrive and allow the body to adapt the most efficiently. This is of the upmost importance in children as they are growing and changing at a very rapid pace.
