Hello, my name is Ariana Harlan. My Ponca name is Mihusa, meaning "shimmering moon." I am 16 years old and a sophomore at Ponca City High School. I am your 2025-2026 Ponca Tribal Princess.
I am so thankful and truly blessed to be given the honor of serving as Ponca Princess. This is more than just a title to me; it is a responsibility, a privilege, and a gift that I will carry with love and pride. I feel so appreciative of everyone who has supported and encouraged me on this journey: my family, my elders, my community, and all those who continue to inspire me. Without your guidance and love, I would not be the person I am today.
Being Ponca Princess gives me the opportunity to represent not only myself, but also the traditions, the strength, and the beauty of our people. I know I am walking in the footsteps of those who came before me, and I hope to honor them by carrying myself with respect, humility, and kindness. This is something I will always hold close to my heart, and I will do my best every day to live up to the trust and love that has been placed in me. I would also love to give a special thanks to my family members who have helped me through this journey.
